   About Shannon Smith

Shannon Smith is a widely travelled interior and architectural photographer. Having done her formal training with the New York institute of Photography, her travels have taken her to places of ancient historical and cultural importance. She is also proficient in portraiture, event and food photography.

Her background as an educator keeps her curious eye always on the lookout for little known and less traversed destinations.

Photography is her calling and food her passion!

About Darpana Athale.

Darpana Athale is an architect, design entrepreneur and educator by profession. A passionate photographer, her camera is always part of her everyday life, no matter where she goes. Life Member of PSI and PSP, she’s also on the executive committee of PSP. Darpana has exhibited her photographs, as well as given presentations for different platforms and photo clubs. She is also the founder of PHOTOWALKS GOA, and sells her work on different stock photography sites.

FAQ’s   

    Fee Includes :

  • Flight tickets to & from and within the country specified and Visa charges, or as specified in the tour itinerary.
  • Inclusions may differ with each tour so please refer to the specific tour itinerary for accurate information 
  • Shared double bed room (same gender participants/couples/friends/partners) in 3 STAR hotel wherever possible. For single room accommodation, extra charges are applicable.
  • It will cover your breakfast daily and certain meals if specified in the document.
  • All local transports related to our tour.
  • Guide fees.
  • Mentor’s fee for the photography tour, on-field photography assistance, and image reviews.

       Fee Doesn’t Include :

  • Insurance
  • Medical Expenses
  • Any additional food items or beverages during meals.
  • Mineral water bottles & / beverages will be your personal expense.
  • Any personal habits or expenses.
  • Any entry fee for the equipment and cameras at any place/premise.
  • Anything that is not in the “Include” list.
  • Overweight baggage costs, unless stated otherwise. The permitted baggage weight is stated in the Photo Tour brochure
  • Meals that are not mentioned in the Photo Tour brochure
  • Travel insurance (all travelers with SSP are required to have valid travel insurance at the time of the Photo Tour)
  • Vaccinations and other related medical costs
  • Camera equipment 
  • Optional extra activities and all personal expenses

       Who is eligible for the tour?
 Anyone above 18 years (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian) can join this photo tour. The tour is open to all beginner/amateur photographers who wish to travel and learn photography on the go. We will be having separate sessions on photography and reviewing work. Our tours are however not exclusively restricted only to those with an interest in photography, they are open to anyone with an interest in travel, food and culture. A certain level of fitness is required as there may be walking/climbing involved.

      Essentials to be carried: 

  1. Reusable water bottle/s
  2. Hat/head cover
  3. Shawl/ Stole to cover bare shoulders & knees or a shirt & long trousers to enter places of worship 
  4. Comfortable walking shoes
  5. A day backpack to carry your requirements for the day and/or a camera bag for all your own camera gear
  6. Sun screen
  7. Personal medication, a basic medical kit along with 5 ORS sachets 
  8. Extra copies of your passport and I.D Cards 
  9. An extension charging board with international socket adaptor/s is a must 
  10. Avoid carrying/wearing a lot of jewellery
